Hi, congratulations for your expedite approval!

Could you give me more details about the situation you was exactly in?

Both of you guys was unemployed or something like that?

Thanks in advance :)

No, I'm the only one not working as I was awaiting the EAD. If you have a job offer the delay of the processing of the EAD could be seen as causing a financial loss to you (else you would be able to take up the job offer and earn a salary). The expedite request only works if you have a pending job offer dependent on the EAD.

Hi,

Can I ask, had you gone for your biometrics appointment before asking for the expidited EAD?

I am waiting on my I-797. I want to start applying for jobs asap but don't want to waste my own or a companies time if I'm not going to get my EAD for ages.

It's encouraging to know that there is a possibility of getting it expedited.

Thanks.

Just thought I'd share this - after getting my NOA1 for the EAD, AOS and advanced parole applications, I called USCIS requesting expedited processing citing financial loss. I have been offered a job since filing the EAD and AOS. They responded within the day requesting the job offer letter, which I faxed to them. The next day the EAD status changed to "card in production", I was given an interview date for AOS, and advanced parole was approved. So guys, don't loose faith, the system does work if you look hard enough! Good luck to all!

Hello,

I did the same thing today. I hope my process is as fast as yours since my employer wants me to start by Oct 3.
