Hello,

before the interview they asked me to provide a US address to where I'm going to go after i get my visa, and i give them an address of a friend there in Virginia, and that address is printed on that paper that is attached to the envelope they give me, i know that my green card will be sent to that address,

but now i want to go to another state and I'm afraid that they will ask me in POE about why i got to another state and maybe prevent me from entering, i want to know if i can go to another state or that i have to go to Virginia the first time i enter the US,

Thank you

Depends on the visa. If it's a tourist visa and you said you will be staying in SF but you are exiting in JFK they may want to know how you are going to SF from NYC.

For any other visa they don't care which airport you are exiting. You said you are getting a green card which means you may want to update the change of address.

It's a Diversity Visa, and i still haven't entered the US yet, i just want to know if i can go to another state other than the one i told them i'm going to, the address is attached to the envelope which means that they will see it, thank you

You can enter anywhere you want. It doesn't matter. We entered in San Francisco with all our addresses in NY. No problem.
