Hi friends,

this question is confusing me after reading so many articles online

"Place of Last Entry into the U.S"

reason being I came via Etihad Airlines and was stamped at AUH airport (my I 94 mentions AUH)

however no stamping was done when I entered US at JFK airport New york.

I know Port of Entry for me would be AUH eventhough its not US soil. However will Place of Last Entry into the U.S be same ????

AHU is a US Preclearance facility. http://www.etihad.com/en-us/before-you-fly/us-preclearance/

If it seems weird you could put both, like write AHU/JFK.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Hi Harpa,

No one gets an RFE for this question; don't worry. The question is obviously flawed if abu dhabi is the right answer :). I would put Abu Dhabi/New York, personally. If you are even more worried, you could explain in a supplement.

Thanks Harpa I will do the same and provide supplement

Also had a query about G325a

my wife (US citizen) is also filling G325a to be sent along with mine.

She has been here for last 12 years so should she really fill out :

"Applicants last address outside the United States of more than 1 year"

"Last occupation abroad"

Also the last box which says "Applicant: Print your name and Alien Registration Number in the box outlined by heavy border below."

should this me my name or her name ????

You are the applicant, not her. But this is another instance of the form not being exactly clear for your situation. Remember these are multi purpose forms and can't by their nature be so specific since everyone's circumstances are different.

So, personally, I would put her last address abroad even though I don't think it's needed, but it doesn't hurt. I think they want your address as the immigrant mainly for security checks.

But for the put a name in the box part, I would put your name on her form, since you are the applicant for I-485 and the G-325a is for that.

I don't recall that question so I think the form has been updated. You could also put your wife's name and N/A for a-number. They are most interested in your biographic details and little things like this they can correct if it's wrong. I know this because there is a question about where you will file AOS. I put "Chicago Lockbox" and other people put their local office and no one ever had a problem. Those answers can't both be right, catch my drift?
