Appointment Notice For EAD &AP

Hi everybody,

Please can anyone of you give me a right answer about this.

I have got the notification mail for my EAD & AP days ago.

Today I sow that my status online was changed. They said that they have mailed another notice for an appointment. Does anyone pass the same experience??? I see it strange that they ask for an appointment for EAD &AP.

ACTUALLY my son got his EAD/AP COMBO CARD 3 weeks ago.

WHAT IS THIS APPOINTMENT ABOUT??

I never heard of an appointment for the EAD/AP

Are you sure its not for the AOS

the only appointment you would have that is not AOS is the EAD but that is for the biometrics appointment

I think the same as you.

This is what i read online when I write the EAD or AP number:

Appointment Notice Was Mailed

On April 28, 2016, we mailed you a notice for Receipt Number MSC16........., requesting that you come to a USCIS office for further processing. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your appointment notice by May 28, 2016, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

While the AOS status hasnt change.

I am so confused

Feb 13, 2014: NOA1

Apr 15,2014: NOA2 Notice Via USCIS Web Site

Apr 22, 2014: NOA2 Received In Postal Mail

Apr 28: 2014: NVC Received

Apr 30: 2014: NVC Left

May 09, 2014: Embassy Received

Jul 08, 2014: Interview - Approved - CEAC Status Ready

Jul 14 2014: CEAC updated but still READY Status

Jul 16 2014: CEAC Status changed to Administrative Processing

Jul 22 2014: CEAC Status changed to Issued

Jul 28 2014: VISA received

Aug 06 2014: U.S. Arrival (Ft. Lauderdale POE)

Children (3 kids)

Apr 28 2015: Filed I130 petition for each child

Aug 21 2015: Notice from USCIS that all 3 petitions transferred to California Service Center

Nov 12 2015: Paid one AOS fee for all 3 children

Feb 22 2016: Called and found out another RFE was being sent out about birth certificate

Feb 24 2016: Sent in (inextensa versions, not de acta versions) of birth certificates for all children

Mar 02 2016: Received notice that they received the RFE evidence

Mar 11 2016: NVC Process finished, now awaiting interview time slot to be scheduled

Mar 29 2016: Called NVC and found out today they scheduled interview

Apr 01 2016: Received Packet 4 notice via e-mail with interview date

Apr 25 2016: Children received P4 letters in the mail

May 19 2016: Interview

Jun 03 2016: Received Visas

Jul 06 2016: Travel to US

Then it would be for the AOS interview at your local USCIS office. This is normal. Some people get lucky and get their interview waived and do not have one, but it looks like you will have one.

I just hope that they have changed the status of EAD &AP by mistake, insteand of changing the AOS STATUS. The notification mail I took days ago doesnt ask for any appointment, it is just aproval notice.

I really cant get this. I am here for almost 1 year and havent read any case like this.

And calling them is a pain in the neck

I got that notice too, but only for my AP, my EAD still says approved and AOS IS "Ready to schedule interview". I can't find any info anywhere so I suppose we'll just have to wait for the appointment letter and see what it says. I just hope it doesn't delay my EAD as I really need to start working.
