Travel back to Canada while on 2 yr conditional green card

I am in the US on a two year conditional green card. I came from Canada on a K1 visa and was issued my two year conditional green card. My father has been diagnosed with cancer and has basically been given two months to live. I want to return to Canada to be with him until he passes. I could be there for up to two months. Will I have any problem returning to the US after being in Canada for that long? Is there anything I need to take with me besides my green card when I travel? My wife and daughter will remain in the US while I'm gone.

You can be out of the US for up to a year without losing your GC.

I'm so sorry to hear about your father

As for your green card if your just going for 2 months you will be ok as the only way to lose your green card is if you leave the states for a year so you will be ok
