Hi everyone, my case status updated today and reads

"Case approval has been certified by USCIS and sent to the appropriate Appellate office"

Not entirely sure what this means, I haven't had an interview yet.

Many people adjusting from a K-1 do not have an interview. Others have received this same case status wording, and as far as I can tell, it seems to be the equivalent to those that get approved at an interview but are told the approval needs to be reviewed and OKed before it is official.You will most likely see your status change to card production soon.

No problem!I was just under the impression that there would be an interview process before they gave me the Green Card. Hopefully things are moving along, I'm unable to obtain a Drivers License until I have the Green Card and even though I have Employment Auth, agencies and other positions I've applied for seem totally reluctant to take applications any further without it.

No problem!I was just under the impression that there would be an interview process before they gave me the Green Card. Hopefully things are moving along, I'm unable to obtain a Drivers License until I have the Green Card and even though I have Employment Auth, agencies and other positions I've applied for seem totally reluctant to take applications any further without it.

You can get your DL with the EAD, print out your DVM's requirements and take it with you but usually its plastered all over

in their offices. Request a supervisor if they say otherwise. If he also refuses go to a different location.

You must have items from different A-D groups to qualify.

Consulate Received : July 30,2014 Transfer to right embassy complete.

Interview Date : Oct 22, 2014

Interview Result : AP , requesting another PC (not expired) and certified divorce decree (was submitted)Stokes interview via phone for petitioner 4 hrs after interview.

Oct 23 email notification visa approved.
Visa Received : Nov. 3 , 2014 VISA IN HAND.

UPDATE: July 5, 2015 updated on all 3 cases, RFE received June 30, 2015.

Service request : Aug 12, 2015, letter received that it will be processed within 90 days from receipt of RFE.

UPDATE: Aug 24, 2015, EAD card being produced/ordered. ( 102 days from AOS receipt day and 55 days from RFE response received.) Thank you Jesus !

Waiting to skip ROC and get 10 yr GC due to over 2 year while pending AOS
AOS APPROVED Oct. 4, 2017 * Green card in hand Oct 13, 2017 !!!!!

First K1 denied after 16 month of AP. Refiled. We are a couple since 2009. Not a sprint but a matter of endurance.

The state of Louisiana requires a full Green Card to obtain a DL. They govern under a particular law that is different from most states. I cannot go to a different location as it has to be State issued where I actually live.

I thought you live in Illinois, your profile says Chicago IL. I did not suggest go to a different state but different location in your area within your state.

I don't know the Louisiana regulations.

Dec 2 Arrived to USA on K-1 visa

2016

Jan 16 Got Married

Feb 5 Sent papers I-485 and I765

Feb 10 NOA1 in mail

March 1 Biometrics

After 75 days Put in request for I765

May 2 I765 status changed to ordered for production and will be mailed

May 27 I-485 status changed to approved, certification sent to appellate office

June 2 Called USCIS about I765 not being received and I-485 status change

I'm also in Louisiana (New Orleans) and checked the website several times to make sure but it clearly states you can apply for a drivers license with a pending I-485 and an EAD. I would go to their website, print it out and take it to the OMV.

I just noticed we are both from the UK and both living in New Orleans lol.

I thought with you all being in the "Big Easy" that it would... Well... Be easy... No?

Lol. Mines has been pretty straight forward. I waited 108 days for EAD approval but only because we received an RFIE. I filed in February and my interview is June 28th. So all in all not been a bad experience so far.
