Anybody from Philippines?

My mom had her medical examination done this week. She was asked to come back for personality evaluation and to pay an additional 1,058. I have not encountered this evaluation when I had my medical examination (8 years ago) I know that was few years ago. But I haven't heard any of my friends' parents under went this kind of evaluation.

Can someone please tell me why she was asked to undergo this evaluation? I emailed SLEC asking why and for what.

I was hoping somebody from here can help me.

I will ask to have his moved for you to the Philippines sub section as they will be able to answer more but I have seen it for those who have had annulments in Philippines or those who admit drug use.

The evaluations are normally done with people that have an annulment or evidence of self-inflicted injuries. Not sure what the reason is with your mom, you have to ask your mom or maybe you know of an event in her life that would trigger this requirement. Death? (just grabbing at ideas here)

That would be my guess as for the reason for the evaluation. Don't worry on it, as long as you mom is fine it will be just a few minutes of chatting then ... done! SLEC has to follow procedures set by the embassy.

Awww thank you! I hope that this was the reason too and won't give her any problem on her interview. She was scheduled on the 24h of May for the evaluation which is 2 days prior to her interview. But because they missed their flight tonight, I asked them to just stay for another night and just go back andcjust have it done now instead on the 24th.

I'm not sure. They missed their flight tonight due to that. So I had to rebook her flight. They're flying back home may as Well try to Go back to st lukes tomorrow to see if they'll take her before heading to the airport. She didn't get her vaccination because she has to take the evaluation. It's stressing me out. Lol

I know it's unexpected. I hope she will be able to get it done today. If not, I have to rebook her fought for next week. Coz I want it done before the interview. 24th of May is way too close. I already booked everything. Ugh!

Evaluation with the Psychologist is by appointment due to the doctor's availability. The same reason that people hate the psyc eval since it spells DELAY of 1-2 weeks. If they set that on May 24th - that is May 24th.. so if you wanted it earlier you should call SLEC for that to squeeze your Mom to earlier schedule if there's any available slot. There is no walk-in for that evaluation.
