DCF Frankfurt - after I 130 approval: how best to proceed?

Hi all!

We've received our approval notification for the I 130 on 05/10/2016 with a date of approval stated as 05/02/2016.

They write to wait for them to get back to you with information regarding the actual visa application.

But upon browsing the visajourney sites a little, I found the info saying you should try getting started with the next part BEFOREHAND.

How do we do this? Do we email the Frankfurt consulate asking for our case number?

I did get an A-number in our note of approval - is that already the right one?

I'm sorry if this is obvious...

---

Or how long is the wait between the I 130 approval and that next step?

I found some information on here, but in some cases it literally happened on the same day (I'm guessing that's the case for people lucky enough to be able to hand everything in at the consulate in person.

Thanks for any and all pointers in the right direction!
