okay website is saying (just had my interview on May 5)

"We will mail you your approval notice. Please follow the instructions in the notice."

I thought after I get approved, I get 2 year green card right away...

sorry if I sound stupid I'm new to this whole thing haha...from what I know after you pass interview, you get 2 year green card and three month before it expires I have to send a different document to get permanent green card and after about three years you can apply for citizenship?

okay so my questions are:

1. do I have to fill out diff papers after receiving approval notice? or does this paper just tell me what I just wrote?

2. what happens to EAD after receiving green card? do I have to go back to the office and update them on my new SSN since I don't need EAD anymore?

Thank you so much!!

hi

you will also get a welcome letter, welcoming you to the US because you are now a LPR

It is correct that 90 days, not 3 months before the card expires, you need to remove conditions

after removing conditions if you are still married to a USC for 3 years, and have been a LPR for 3 years, you can apply for citizenship
