Hi Everyone,

Question 1 : Do I need to wait from the Consulate of Manila to send the packet to my Fiance?

I have read some in the forum that once you called the NVC and give you the MNL #, I can pay the Visa and after 24-48 days I can call St. Lukes to schedule the Medical, as long as I have the Letter from the NVC and send it to my Fiance... Is this right?

Question 2: For Medical, how many days it would take? I remember when my son did his Medical at St. Lukes, he went Monday to Friday. But I read in the Forum that medical takes only 2 days, if this is the case, can I schedule his Interview by Wednesday-Friday on the same week?

No you don't need to wait for packet. You can pay at BPI and then schedule interview.

You don't "schedule" the medical as it is done on a walk in first come first serve basis, however you can "Pre-register" online which will save time once you get there. Almost all medicals take 2 days, although some have reported completing in one day.

After you have paid visa they give you a receipt. Don't lose it. There is a number on it that you will use to schedule interview online.

Lastly, I would recommend you find the Philippines regional forum here on VJ and ask any more specific questions you have there as you will get a lot more responses. Also, find any response by Greenbaum and click on his link for visa process as it is a very good guide and will answer many of your questions.

Anyone here from Germany?

The Fiancee has paid before the interview on cgifederal site. Now the website is telling her that she needs to wait for an email to be able to schedule and appointment. She has received said email, including a link to ustraveldocs. But when she goes to login, it goes back to cgifederal site and nothing on her dashboard states that she's paid.

Hi. So this is what I did to make the process faster. Once I knew that my case was at Ciudad Juarez, I kept calling the embassy daily at 1.703.249.4628 until they told me I can schedule an appointment. They also helped me set up my account at https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-mx/iv. Towards the end of the setup, they said there were no available dates and to call in a few days. So what I did was check every hour and I was able to get an interview date the same day.

Hope this helps.

Apparently, she was supposed to send the packet to the embassy before she can get an appointment date.

I think I knew that but wasnt sure so it didn't happen.

Oh well; she isnt planning to fly until November so we're not in much of a hurry.

Which packet are you referring to that she is supposed to send to the embassy?

We had no requirement to send anything to the embassy, just things to bring to the interview
