hi had a lot of doubts about the process after the case arrived to the US Consulate so I contacted them thru email. and they answer all my questions. if you don't know what to do call them or asked them they have to give you an answer. Following the question that I made:

Note: I'm actually happy they responded in just a few hours

Thank you for your message. Please find attached our responses.

· My question is the US Consulate in Guayaquil has to send me or my fiancé any letter?? Or we are OK to go for the interview on September 21st

Your fiancé can come for his interview on September 21. However, more information you will find at: https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate-spanish/u-s--embassy-consulate-general-specific-information.html

· Do we have to send something to the US consulate first before the interview?

You do not need to submit documents in advance.

· In the receipt intrusions after the payment that we made says that we have to go to the interview date with the letter that we received from the Consular Section (we didn’t received any) but we are ready to go with all the paper work. Can you confirm if we need the letter from the Consular Section? If we do can you email it to me?

Please find below the letter information.

· I’m the petitioner I will be travelling to Ecuador to be there for the interview with my fiancé. Do I have to make an additional appointment for me?

You can be present during the interview, if you would like to come to Ecuador.

If you need to contact us again, please include this message in your new inquiry. This way we will be able to serve you better.

Sincerely,

Immigrant Visa Unit

I've read a bit of the Turkish forums here and they said to book the first date you find available on the calendar (sometimes there is none, but keep checking) and then keep checking in case an earlier date opens up. Then you can change it to the earlier date, no questions asked. Somebody mentioned a plugin called check4change that can check if a date opened up and notify you if you cannot be at the computer all the time refreshing the page.

Either way, I have also read that it takes approximately 2 months to get an interview in Turkey, so you might just have to roll with it.

Hope everything goes smoothly!

Yeap, approximately 55-60 days to interview. But you can check everyday so someone might cancel their interview and you can just reschedule your interview to an earlier date.

I have been told they inactive scheduling and active it 2 weeks later aprx. I am waiting for my case number after that if i see anything i will let you know ibocan.
