heres why I am scared that it may expire. My fiance submitted it on tuesday. he was going to pay the fee and schedule interview/medical today however he had some urgent work that came up at his job. so he wont be scheduling the interview not before Monday. Will this cause any problem ?

it won't be a problem the application is in their system you don't have to schedule an interview the same day if you do it by next week. it will be fine.!

we havent received packet 3 yet:( my case has been in beruit since 8/12 . they havent even contacted us

should i be worried??

check your embassy or consulate instructions. In my case I set up the interview by myself i didn't wait for package 3.

the package 3 is on line you can download it from the embassy webpage.

if your case says READY at the NVC web page that means that the embassy have your case ready for interview.

Does anyone know how to help your fiance to upload photo to DS-160 if you want to help him/her file out the DS-160 but don't have the photo?

when your fiancee take a pasaport style picture, she/he can tell the photographer to e-mail a digital copy of it. i dont know if it works if you scan the picture.

You can also go to the Department of State website and search for their photo cropping tool and use it to make a digital passport photo:

https://identix.state.gov/qotw/Upload.aspx?offLwnJFx%2fOumH2xn6Soo4LhiMB8RrsFo655aaszpA0VujL6RvXdk7PUWX7Pp4uc

Just make sure to use a white background and adhere to all the advice they give you.
