I have a question for the México's K-1 applicants. I just received my case and invoice # from the NVC and I was wondering would I be able to schedule the ASC and the interview with those numbers before receiving packet #3? If this is possible how will I be able to do this?

In the "Regional" section of Visa journey there is a Mexico subsection. I'd recommend you go in there and ask the same question, those who have gone before you should be able to advise.

My fiancé is from the Philippines and I have picked up lots of valuable info from that sub-forum. Each embassy is a little different so its always good to check the regional discussions.

Good Luck!

I'm so excited, just got my case number and Invoice ID today! 11 days after NOA 2. I called yesterday and was told they didn't have it. I called again today and I was able to get the ID number, I tried it this afternoon and it didn't work, then tried again this evening and it worked! I'm guessing it's fresh from processing and just entered today. It's still at the NVC though.

What do we need the invoice ID for? I only got case number.

My guess is it's apart of the tracking information for when it arrives at the NVC. I'm not exactly sure though...

I read some posts and they said never mind the IIN and BIN. I tried to find some detailed information in K-1 step by step instruction but was a little disappointed, it ends at NOA2, no information on afterwards.

So called NVC just now and they have not received case yet, I just don't understand why cases with later NOA2 dates gets approved sooner. Is the cases sent randomly to NVC from USCIS?

We are in the same situation. I was approved the day after you and NVC keeps telling me I am not in their system yet. I don't know if it is like USCIS where received cases are piled up and we are just unluky and haven't had ours picked up and scanned in or if the files are still at USCIS for some silly reason. Just knowing it is at NVC would be calming. Would be nice to be able to find something out! Hopefully we will both hear something next week. Just know you aren't the only one

You might want ask this in the regional forum for South Asia. There you will likely get a response from someone that has done it.

According to this thread :

"they'll send you an email saying the date of interview. we don't have to send any packets. you'll have to pay for the interview in the embassy itself"

Because after NOA2 and NVC. Things will depends on your embassy. And the way embassies process things is different from country to country. And you can not make a general guide for that part with all the exceptions and differences. I suggest you after NVC stage you should go and check your country regional forum. Where you find how things are processed and you get answers from previous experience.

hey guys one week since NVC received my case, assigned a case number but for some reason they keep holding it and they dont send it to the embassy. I just dont understand I've seen cases sent it the next day after case number. I called them yesterday and a lady told me is not in transit yet we will mail it out shortly ?? I mean may be they need more cases to send all of them to the same country.

My case moved faster until NVC took the control of it.

also every Embassy has a different way to process the K1 visas. Some of them send the package 3 and you have to send it back and then they give you the interview date.

In my country 'ECUADOR" is different one we see on line at NVC web page that is "READY" we have to go on line pay the fee and set up the interview on line so we can choose the date.

after that we have to make the medical appointment the Doctor told me "Yes I need the case number and the interview date to go ahead with the medical" without interview date no medical.

so I am stuck now at NVC, if my case is not even in transit I can not do anything. You can download the package 3 information online just choose the country and embassy you will see all the instructions there.
