Today was an exciting day for us! I received the letter from NVC. I don't think this letter holds any importance, but I love getting things in the mail that are bringing us one step closer! My fiancé received packet 4 with instructions for medical, and an interview date. The countdown is on...5 weeks from today, September 22 in Amsterdam!! We are over the moon excited!!! So excited we didn't even mind paying the $265 visa fee! Lol!

Good luck to all those interviewing soon! Congratulations on recent approvals, and everyone's progress. For those still waiting, I send best wishes!

Hang in there ladies, your petitions are just marinating a lil longer so ya'll won't have to deal with an RFE hopefully.

I know it's unfair, there are still quiet a few petitions from May 10th (my receipt date) that are sitting there begging to be touched.

I'm praying you ladies get approved today!

USCIS website states they are processing within 5 months.I don't believe it will take that long. I do believe they are processing faster now as we are fast approaching the end of their fiscal year in September.

????? for you!

I see, thank you.I hope we will hear from them before the August end. My fiance already booked his flight as he thought we could make the interview or atleast the medical exam on September 6-16.

Actually, I live in Texas too and my insurance company GEICO says that my fiance can drive my car as long as he is a listed driver on my policy with his international driver's license. Once state license is obtain just call them back to update our policy with the new info. I will be adding my fiancé this weekend.

So basically it's at the Insurance discretion. It wouldn't hurt to call and ask.

One would think this should be under law and not per insurance. But you're right; I guess the easier way is to call your insurance company to find out how they do things.

Shouldn't we wait for Packet 3? I saw somebody were saying that beneficiary will need to send back the confirmation of DS-160, copy of passport bio. page, passport photos and maybe a checklist of all the documents he/she needs to bring to the interview. I don't know how Consulate will contact the beneficiary if they receive the documents and okay to schedule an interview.

This is the same question I'm asking.

Once my Fiancee finishes with the DS160, does she submit that and wait for further information?

Should I already mail her my i135 and supporting docs?

When your fiancé completes the DS-160, she will get a confirmation email of having done so. It will include the picture that she uploaded in DS-160 submission. Print at least two copies of this pdf confirmation in this email as you need one copy of it for the medical and one for the interview.

For your second question, you are stating form I135, but I think you mean I-134. yes you should complete that with any supporting evidence (if applicable) and send it to her.

You're correct. Mybad. 134.

Reading the instructions, it generally says statement from bank officer of accounts. Since the only thing they ask for on the paperwork is savings, should I only submit the history on the savings? I don't know if it's appropriate to show my checking account. :sleepy:

I just stated my income, how much I had in savings, a letter from my employer stating my position, salary, etc and two recent paystubs and last years W-2.

I went to the bank and got records of deposit is but ultimately did not include them. I was advised by one of the really knowledgeable guys that hangs out in the Philippines forum.

It has also been said that CO's at USEM are not asking for I-134 affidavits and have not been for the last couple years. Of course you have to have it just in case they do.

Hello everyone!

Well the status of our case on CEAC case tracker says "ready" since Tuesday, but the consulate didn't make any contact so far. My fiancee emailed the consulate in Rio on Wednesday and today they replied saying that our case is still no there at their office, although the CEAC case status says it is there. Is it normal? Looks like a conflict of information...
