Hey I got my NOA2 Aug 4th and the NVC received my case Aug 12 but they gave me the case number Aug 15.

I don't know what happen but I checked the status on line using the case number to see if they mail it to the embassy.

and the status since Monday is "AT NVC" I've seen cases sent next day to the embassy after case number.

if they don't send it I can't not make any appointment. The doctor told me that in order to make an appointment for the medical we need to give him the interview date.

I was happy because my case moved faster until arrived to NVC. if they assigned a case number they should sent it ASAP to the embassy.

I'm in the same position. They received my case last Thursday and so far still at NVC.

Hey Guys,

i got our number from NVC today :). can we we get an interview date with this number or do we have to wait for embassy to receive our case from the NVC?

Thanks

I think it depends on the embassy. For me, it is US embassy in Manila and they allow one to schedule once MNL# is received from NVC.

Any petitioners who are currently filling out I-134 or have already done that, please let me know if you got statement from your bank or not? I am attaching letter from my company, six most recent pay stubs, 2015 tax return transcript, W2's from 2015. any help will be much appreciated.

Damn. Gotta dig the Tax return and W2's :(

can my fiance drive in michigan with an international drivers license?

I'm sure she can. The better question is can your fiance be insured without a local driver's license.

Here in Texas, the answer is no. Insurance companies need a TX DL before they can be added to the insurance policy.

If you google IRS Tax Transcript it will take you to an online webpage where you can retrieve 4 years of data. This should save you some time.

Here in Texas, the answer is no. Insurance companies need a TX DL before they can be added to the insurance policy.

That reminds me that my fiance won't be able to be included under my auto insurance until he gets DL. Here they don't just let people with foreign DL to exchange for a local DL. He will have to take written test, as well as road test.

Can we book Interview whilst the case is still at the NVC? i have all my documents ready, I've submitted the DS-160 form, and my medical will be scheduled shortly.

I try to do the medical first but the doctor told me that he needs the interview date.

Shouldn't we wait for Packet 3? I saw somebody were saying that beneficiary will need to send back the confirmation of DS-160, copy of passport bio. page, passport photos and maybe a checklist of all the documents he/she needs to bring to the interview. I don't know how Consulate will contact the beneficiary if they receive the documents and okay to schedule an interview.

Actually, I live in Texas too and my insurance company GEICO says that my fiance can drive my car as long as he is a listed driver on my policy with his international driver's license. Once state license is obtain just call them back to update our policy with the new info. I will be adding my fiancé this weekend.

So basically it's at the Insurance discretion. It wouldn't hurt to call and ask.
