Ours was exactly the same, NOA2 8/8, NVC received - Just now!! i literally just got off the phone to them, i thought id give it a go although it had only been 9 days!!

they said the usual ' it can take up to 2 weeks to apply a case number' From what i'm reading, most people just call back the next day and they have their case assigned.

Could someone confirm I'm not going crazy!

thanks,

My NOA2 was 8/2 and NVC just got my case. I called them today too :) I will give NVC 2-3 days to sort, assign case number, conduct background check, and update status in the system. Other people might have been calling NVC for several days and heard the good news the next day. Maybe we should call this Friday, then forget about it till Monday, and enjoy the weekend.

ohhh surprisingly we were just speaking about NVC sending information to you ... well we got a letter from NVC in the mail just now!!

it did not say much and nothing important just :

case number , petitioner and beneficiary name, embassy address and contact.

so for who did not get it..don't worry about it. it is useless !!

Hi peeps,

How long did it take NVC to send your case to your designated embassy. I received my Case # last Thursday and so far its still at the NVC according to the CEACStatTracker.

Hi, you should definitely contact Guangzhou consulate and see what they say. Also when did you receive your package 3? I'm just curious.

For those of you who doesn't have a birth certificate, check the following: hospital record, police or court record, household registration, passport agency, church record.

Thats impossible because my fiance's birth certifcate is in syria and he lives in lebanon.. theres absolutely no way of getting it:(

Hi Everyone!

I am just curious as to how many other approved May filers are still waiting for their case to arrive at NVC. Even though I am well within the normal range it is hard to not get a little nervous when I see so many others moving through NVC so quickly!

Hey I got my NOA2 Aug 4th and the NVC received my case Aug 12 but they gave me the case number Aug 15.

I don't know what happen but I checked the status on line using the case number to see if they mail it to the embassy.

and the status since Monday is "AT NVC" I've seen cases sent next day to the embassy after case number.

if they don't send it I can't not make any appointment. The doctor told me that in order to make an appointment for the medical we need to give him the interview date.

I was happy because my case moved faster until arrived to NVC. if they assigned a case number they should sent it ASAP to the embassy.
