i did not get any thing from NVC expect case number and invoice ID. no letter, mail or email . nothing.

when it shows 'in transit" it means your application is sent and on its way to your embassy....when it sows " ready" it means it is at your embassy .. then see your country forum to get the next step.

Where did you see this "in transit" message?

Congrats to all the May filers who just passed interview!

I just called NVC and they said they just received my packet from USCIS. 15 days after the approval!

I gave my fiance I-134 last month already. I don't know if the date on the form will expire after certain period(?)

I prepared bank statement (made by the bank officer), last 3 years tax return transcript, as well as 3 years W2s and employment letter.

depends on your answer of question 7 (deposit and saving part), if you said you have savings then it would be better to attach a proof.

we did it for our application.

Yeah sure, I guess I will do the same. you think last six months of bank statements should be sufficient?

great thanks so much..!!!

hey congrats,

question how can I know when they send my case to the Consulate?

did you got a notification from NVC and then from the Consulate?

Hi, BSMOLI, how did you get this message from NVC? Is there a website for you to check your case status with NVC?

I didnt receive anything from NVC at all. I called last week and got my case # and invoice number. I entered my case number here at this website https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx

It told me yesterday its in transit and this morning it told me its ready. Meaning its at the embassy.

I have never gotten any email, text, or mail from nvc.

DOES ANYONE KNOW IF WE DO? AND IF WE DO WHEN SHOULD I ACCEPT IT?? ANOTHER QUESTION DO I RECEIVE THE PACKET 3 , THE US CITIZEN OR MY OVERSEAS FIANCE?OR BOTH?

THANKYOU

Can you please explain what you really told to bank officers like what you are looking for? Did they just made a letter and had all the money that was in your accout? and I think the date on forms are more like if there are newer versions of the form available or not. If you download it from USCIS they dont expire very soon.

You talk to the bank officer (the one sitting behind the desk, not the teller) that you need a bank statement for immigration purpose. He will go to his bank's system to find the sample document and ask you several questions. You just state the requirements from USCIS, like when you opened the account, last deposit, balance, etc. The statement will include the information of the last 12 months.

that what you get when you call NVC : case number and invoice ID .. that is it

ohh that kind of bank statement ... well in the guide they say the last year of statement .. we did not provide that because it has a lot of meaningless transactions and lot of pages for single month .. we provide the bank statement of our saving .. it has when the account was opened how much on it and how much we put each month.

NO2 8/8/2016

NVC Received 8/17/2016

I was not ready for it. I guess time to prepare my part for my fiancée :) wow they are really fast. Good luck everyone.

Ours was exactly the same, NOA2 8/8, NVC received - Just now!! i literally just got off the phone to them, i thought id give it a go although it had only been 9 days!!

they said the usual ' it can take up to 2 weeks to apply a case number' From what i'm reading, most people just call back the next day and they have their case assigned.

Could someone confirm I'm not going crazy!

thanks,
