A work permit is called an EAD. You can apply for an EAD as soon as you enter BUT it will only be good until the 90 days from your arrival and since it takes 60-90 days to get the card it is pointless

That dose not apply to k1 visas but to spousal visas your interview will be booked via your embassy not NVC.

Hey everyone!! USCIS cashed my check!!! Yay!! Still NOA1 but it's a start!!! Thank you God!!! My documents aren't lost in TX!!! Good luck to everyone!

Hi everyone!

May filer here.Mailed our application via 2day priority to the Lewisville, TX Lockbox on May 9, 2016. Being that I live in Dallas/Fort Worth TX, it was delivered next day on the May 10, 2016.I got a text & email on May 13, 2016 that my app was received and NOA1 dated May 12,2016 was mailed out to me. I received my NOA1 hard copy on May 20, 2016.

Did they cash your check? Did you get a NOA1? Check your bank mine went through last night. They cashed my check.

Did they cash your check? Did you get a NOA1? Check your bank mine went through last night. They cashed my check.

even we got our NOA1 (email. text and hard copy) the check is not cashed yet .. don't know if the bank did not show the transaction or they still did not cash it !!

Yours is coming!! I was looking last night at the timelines of others....It doesn't seem that many NOA1s have gone out this past week. I didn't see many at all from the 18th, 19th, and on. So maybe they were backed up. Yours is coming!!!! Sending prayers. Post as soon as you hear anything!! <3

I am opposite no NOA1 and the check was cashed lol. I am just glad it wasn't put in the wrong PO Box. I was worried someone had all my information. They can't do much with the copies but someone could sell my address and SS# along with all the other info.

:rofl: Uncle Sam does nothing for free or I would say maybe. I can honestly say....I would never want that job of the USCIS officers or the people who work throughout this process. I couldn't imagine having people email me or call and scream at me all day.

Don't cry. Tomorrow call the place that sent the application in. Ask them if they can please look into it. Monday is a holiday and you would like some kind of answer. When they sent it they had to get a tracking number. Do you know how they sent it? UPS, FedEx, or USPS? Even if they sent it regular standard mail there is a tracking number on the receipt they got which should have been put in your file. As them for it. It is coming. I see today the NOA1s started coming out again. For the last few days I didn't see any being posted. Yours is coming!! Check in the morning and see if your check cleared. Sending you prayers!! <3 I hope the check clears tonight and you get your NOA1 tomorrow!!
