So I know there are a lot of us May filers out there that haven't received our NOA2 yet, even though there are people in the middle of June receiving theirs. At what point do you think it is prudent to call USCIS and inquiry about our cases?

A work permit is called an EAD. You can apply for an EAD as soon as you enter BUT it will only be good until the 90 days from your arrival and since it takes 60-90 days to get the card it is pointless

That dose not apply to k1 visas but to spousal visas your interview will be booked via your embassy not NVC.

i think there is a worker over there, he/she is working sooo slow. he/she has our petition on his/her desk. :D

sorry i guess you can call them after 5 months then your noa1 date

Like last week! when they moved on to June filers. It's so unfair that petitions aren't approved in order of receipt.

Totally agree with you. I'm not nervous anymore just more and more disjointed each day. LOL Did you call on yours or just wait?

No joy at the nvc today but tomorrow is a new day and its only been a week.

Hey I got my NOA2 on August 4th and I called on Friday Aug 12 to the NVC and they told me that my package arrived from USCIS on August 12 and they don't have a case number yet. she told me to call in 2 weeks.

i heard the same line august 3, they said they receive my case august 2nd nothing assigned yet call back in 2 weeks.

i got my case number the next day august 4 and my packet left NVC to my embassy August 5.

call tomorrow!!

So I just called NVC and they have not received my case yet. NOA2 on Aug 04

Hey just to let you know our NOA 2 was the same date Aug 4 and I just called NVC again today and they gave me the case number. He told me that they will be sending the case to the US ebassy soon.!

I called today in the morning and they told me the same thing (call back in 2 weeks) but I just did called again and they have it.

So keep trying . good luck

hey everyone my NOA2 was dated Aug 4th and I just called in the morning to the NVC they told me they don't have it (call back in 2 weeks) I decided to call back again now in the afternoon just to see. and YES they got my case and also gave me the case number. and he also told me that they will be sending the case to the US embassy in Ecuador. I'm so happy

Basically 11 days after approval including weekends
