Any Londoners here, keep checking for earlier interview dates! Our original interview was scheduled for 9/23, the earliest date available, and we were able to move up to 9/6 by checking for cancellations! My fiancé wakes up early for work and checked about 4am UK time and found it :) Hope this helps! ?

From my understanding, the case goes from USCIS to NVC. NVC does whatever it is they do with the case beyond giving it a new number, and forwards to the correct embassy. Then you receive packet 3 and your work begins again.

The DS-160 is one of the components of packet 3 for Canadians; not sure if it works differently elsewhere. Google "Montreal k-1 packet 3" and you should get the same form online as you get from the consulate itself. I don't think you can submit anything earlier than you receive it from the consulate, but you can at least read ahead and start preparing yourself. Packet 4 too, after that, can also be found on a quick Google search :)

Hope that helps!

Thank you! :)

We got something today around 9pm MDT, that's the good news. The not so good news is that it's an rfe.

Was super upset but my fiance calmed me down a bit. In the end it's some progress )

How long does the 'rfe sent' to 'approval' process take?

We've followed people's timelines but I need some more assurance that it's not taking too long.

I saw couple pages earlier in May filler that approved in 4 days after they received the RFE. It seems pretty fast. Good luck

The notice from the app says they will send a notice on where will be the new Service Center its gonna be transferred. Right now we don't know yet. I just don't know why they will moved it and just now? We have been waiting for so long.

I could be wrong...and by no means am I an expert at this because I'm still waiting, but I thought I read somewhere that all K-1 Visas were to now be processed at California Service Center. I know that sometimes USCIS redistributes the workload around the various service centers and if you look at the processing times for CSC you will see a reduction at the Texas Service Center and a big spike in CSC workload last year.

If I'm wrong...I really hope someone corrects me because the approval process is somewhat a mystery and I would like to learn something. It will be interesting to see where your case is transferred to. Please keep us updated. Good luck and hope with the transfer you are approved very soon!

I am so confused too at the moment. Will know more later when we received the notice. I will update here on what will the notice say. Thank you for the wishes. I hope and pray that it will be a fast approval as soon as the other Service Center get our application. I just don't know how long it'll takes for the paperwork to get there.
