I was under the impression that active duty military were automatically expedited, it is worth pursuing

My fiance is active duty military and we filed the petition 2 months before he deployed. The expedite requested by our lawyer, even with a letter from his commanding officer was NOT GRANTED. I'm pretty sure each case is assessed differently.

We still had to wait like everyone else.

There's no special treatment for active military.

Today was the day!!! We got approved. God is great!!!! My fiance is screaming!!! Hahaha. We were on skype having date night (morning for her) when i got the notification.

Its coming yall. Hang in there.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I will call the uscis and tell them about his condition and see what they say. It's a shame the military isn't expedited, as you said they earnt it! Thank you to both posters for your well wishes. I'm praying that we will all be with our loved ones soon!!

I hope they expedite your case for your son. That reason should be enough to be granted an expedite!

Call the military help line.

Tell your husband to obtain a letter from his CO stating your son's condition.

Good luck!

I find that bordering on negligent that the military does not get preferential treatment, especially in light of an impending deployment. If it was my decision you would go the head of the line, without question. Sorry i was misinformed.

I'm a chemotherapy patient just wanted to be as happy till the day comes.

Thank you for replying......it really helped me.
