A work permit is called an EAD. You can apply for an EAD as soon as you enter BUT it will only be good until the 90 days from your arrival and since it takes 60-90 days to get the card it is pointless

I'm glad you figured out the problem!

I had to figure it...specially when the person that just posted said it works..i tried it and same problem. i was like what is going on !!!

what is weird they where spelling like two zero and i repeat is it zero zero one six...and they answer yes then they keep going with the rest...anyway the people

at NVC are so kind on the phone!

I know! I was kind of surprised at how nice and helpful they were. I've heard a lot of bad stories about when people call the USCIS but the NVC is nothing like that at least from our experiences!
