Hmm.. did you choose "Immigrant Visa" as the visa application type?

Yes ... The non immigrant will return invalid ID. I know I have to select immigrant visa.

A work permit is called an EAD. You can apply for an EAD as soon as you enter BUT it will only be good until the 90 days from your arrival and since it takes 60-90 days to get the card it is pointless

That dose not apply to k1 visas but to spousal visas your interview will be booked via your embassy not NVC.

Yes, as soon as I got off the phone I checked my status and it worked. Maybe call back and see if you wrote down the # correctly? Otherwise I'm not sure why it wouldn't be working :(

When you call back ask if there's something going on with their website. Maybe that's the reason it's not working. Let me know how things go!

If you are able to log and check your case then I don't think the website have a problem. If someone else have the e message then definitely the website is crashing or something... I will call later to make sure and update here !

contacted NVC again to double check my Case Number and invoice ID. I have them correct, I asked the lady about the error Message showing when trying to track she said they did not update the information on website. it may take a while. she just said your case is still here but not for long .. going to be shipped soon to your embassy.

who is going to get his case number today please keep us updated if you are facing this situation!!

yeah that is true ... but what is annoying is the captcha code ... so horrible to type it using the phone :ranting: ...they need to set an App that will update you if there is any changes...that would be awesome.
