Congratulations!!

You should wait about two weeks to call NVC from your NOA2 date. It seems to be averaging two weeks for them to receive it. Then you will get a case #. I think you need your case # from the NVC to schedule the medical and what not. But don't quote me on that :P

A work permit is called an EAD. You can apply for an EAD as soon as you enter BUT it will only be good until the 90 days from your arrival and since it takes 60-90 days to get the card it is pointless

Congratulation ... relax ... enjoy ... celebrate the approval ... you have two weeks to study the Lebanon embassy how it works ... what paper work asked during interview .. after two weeks from now call NVC ... get your case number ... prepare the required documents .. mail them to your fiancé ... when he got everything fill the DS160 .. schedule medical then interview !!

Thank you all,

I am just worried about 1 thing. My fiance doesnt have a birthcertificate :(

is it required to have one? If we are unable to get one will we be denied? :(

of course a birth certificate is required ... what does he use instead of birth certificate... you should check Lebanon forum ... in case it is common thing over there or someone before been in same situation can help you more !!

No, I don't believe so. Just call in a couple of weeks and you should receive your case number :)

This Thursday will be two weeks since your NOA2. I would call Tuesday/Wednesday beginning of next week. They should have it by then as it will be a few days over two weeks. Once they receive it they need time to put it in their system so you should hopefully be good by then!
