A work permit is called an EAD. You can apply for an EAD as soon as you enter BUT it will only be good until the 90 days from your arrival and since it takes 60-90 days to get the card it is pointless

That dose not apply to k1 visas but to spousal visas your interview will be booked via your embassy not NVC.

Now we can schedule interview :dancing:

I know, but its just unfair for NOA1's dates above my to be adjudicated

I have to change my date. My NOA1 date was May 16. My mom checked on the NOA1 for me last night. So I was before you. They are only on mid-May. At least they are coming up to yours. Hang in there it's coming. Good luck!

I called the 603-334-0700 # and the message said that was for immigrant visas only. So they gave the number for non immigrant visas, which the K-1 is a non immigrant visa, correct? So I called that # and then they gave the list of things I need and that's when it said something about a passport # :(

Yep, I tried that and they did get back to me in 2-3 days but at that time they had not yet received my case.

the K-1 Visa is non-immigrant visa true...but i believe when you use the nvc case number in the ceac status : https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx

i think you have to select immigrant visa...that what i saw in a post here somewhere!!

maybe Jasper838 can tell us what number to call and what information they requested from them to give the case number!!
