I would call them. Maybe they're only wanting a copy of the birth certificates mailed back? I'm surprised they didn't put additional information in there on exactly what they want! You aren't a mind reader!!!

I will for sure be calling USCIS on monday. I'm thinking someone forgot to include the request along with instructions?? IDK ?

A work permit is called an EAD. You can apply for an EAD as soon as you enter BUT it will only be good until the 90 days from your arrival and since it takes 60-90 days to get the card it is pointless

That dose not apply to k1 visas but to spousal visas your interview will be booked via your embassy not NVC.

hello everyone!

I was approved last night!! I could not believe it!! god is good. Onto the next step :dancing::dancing::dancing:

Hope this gives the ones waiting a relief that its not long to go now and I pray you you see your approvals on monday :idea:

Hi everyone, quick question! know it probably differs from embassy to embassy, but it seems we can schedule medical/appt right after we receive NVC number? Do I need to wait for it to get to the London embassy? I've gone through the April filers and it seems everyone is doing so right after receiving NVC numbers...

You can book your medical as soon as you get your NVC number, and once that's done you can complete your forms ds-160 and your readiness form. Once your case is in transit, then the following day you should be able to book your interview.

3/22/16.....Vaccinations up to date (only needed one)

Someone with NOA 2 of July 7th or 8th (cant' remember for certain) received their case number today. So yes, I would say 2-3 weeks seems to be about the right time frame now. I'm so happy because it was only a couple weeks ago that it was taking up to 6 weeks to get there!

Our lawyer said she'll try to get her team to call the NVC on a daily basis til we get our case number. Our third week mark will be on the 8th of August.

I'm surprised to find out their processing speed is fast enough at that rate. Not too long ago, people get their cases forwarded to the NVC in 2-3 days after they get approved. :o

I guess, we'll just exhaust the whole three weeks then. 1 more week to go! :D

We were finally approved! Case status changed on the website at around midnight from july 28th. We filed on may 17.

I'm sorry I'm.just updating now, I lost someone this week, things have been hard.

But yes, NOA2 came!

I suggest calling the NVC after 2 to 3 weeks of your NOA2 approval to get your case number. :D

For police clearance certificates, I was in Thailand about 2 to 3 years ago for about 8 or 9 months, would I need to get a police clearance? We are in China and I'm not sure about the process?

For police clearance certificates, I was in Thailand about 2 to 3 years ago for about 8 or 9 months, would I need to get a police clearance? We are in China and I'm not sure about the process?

  • Police certificates from your present country of residence and all countries where you have lived for six months or more since age 16 (Police certificates are also required for accompanying children age 16 or older)
