When can we start calling USCIS to inquire about our petition?

After 5 months - which is the stated timeframe on the official USCIS processing times page. If you call before then, they will basically tell you nothing and say to call back later, or so that's what's been described in all other posts I've seen.

Well I'm hoping and praying I get an approval today or tomorrow since tomorrow is my birthday. It would be s nice birthday gift. Sending good vibes to everyone.

Same here.

Our NOA1 was May 17,2016. And until now we are waiting for NOA2.

nothing last night either, hopefully we will hear something tonight . Trying to stay positive. We haven't got long to go now

We got the I-797 NOA 2 hard copy by mail yesterday July 27th.

It really sucks see you all waiting for your approvals. We wish you all to hear the good news soon. We are following your updates and we will be so happy when it happen for all of you. Have faith and strong patience ... It is not easy .. But no other option then wait and pray !!

Thank you, appreciate you kind words.Its just so hard to see a lot of approvals for my date . There is like 3 filers of which I am in the middle who have not heard anything.Just hope they have not lost our files . I am praying it comes today

We were finally approved! Case status changed on the website at around midnight from july 28th. We filed on may 17.

I'm sorry I'm.just updating now, I lost someone this week, things have been hard.

But yes, NOA2 came!

Has anyone else noticed that lately when people are receiving the post decision activity email they are getting case numbers within a couple weeks? Maybe it's just a coincidence I've noticed, and there's nothing to it. It's pointless to try to figure out a pattern with this process! Lol!

Ive noticed people are getting their case numbers quicker than before... 2 to 3 weeks max wait time...I am praying to get my noa2 soon, which i doubt it:( it seems uscis is slower and ncv is picking up faster this month, it was the opposite last month...right?

I am a little bit confused and damn i miss my fiancee a lot. I am a june filer but I really feel bored because of all those waiting. Sorry for negativity

I think it was USCIS all along slowing things down, and taking forever to approve, and send to NVC. But then again, who really knows, the both blame the other agency! Lol!

For the sake of all here, I hope it's USCIS that's speeding up!

I think the USCIS has been speeding up though. Our lawyer has called the NVC, and they don't have our file yet.

We got approved on the 18th of this month.

It might take til the first week of August til it gets there.
