A work permit is called an EAD. You can apply for an EAD as soon as you enter BUT it will only be good until the 90 days from your arrival and since it takes 60-90 days to get the card it is pointless

That dose not apply to k1 visas but to spousal visas your interview will be booked via your embassy not NVC.

I know the feeling! :cry::cry: ..

my NOA 1 was 16/05 and I am still waiting.. a lot of the filers within 500 cases of mine were approved on 21st or 22nd July. I really feel for filers that have a NOA of early or mid may that are still waiting. It is not a nice feeling to check the app in the morning to see your file has still not been touched yet they have moved onto late may filers so I do understand how all that have not heard are feeling. I try keep my self busy but it does play in the back of my mind

I do pray we get our approval tonight so we can join the May approval party! (L)

Our NOA1 was May 17,2016. And until now we are waiting for NOA2.

May 9,2016: = sent i-129f to USCIS

June 16, 2016: = Updated petitioner Date of Birth ( USCIS mispelled it )

We got the I-797 NOA 2 hard copy by mail yesterday July 27th.

It really sucks see you all waiting for your approvals. We wish you all to hear the good news soon. We are following your updates and we will be so happy when it happen for all of you. Have faith and strong patience ... It is not easy .. But no other option then wait and pray !!

Here's our timeline:

  • I129F sent: 5/11/2016
  • NOA1 (on paper): 5/18/2016
  • NOA2 (on the USCIS smart phone application): 7/18/2016

60 days!

We haven't received a NOA1 or NOA2 hardcopy especially only emails and online updates, is this a problem?

our page was updated last night

We mailed your document for your Form I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), Receipt Number WAC... If you do not receive your document by August 27, 2016, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we resend the document to you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Does anyone know what this means, is our petition being sent to the NVC?

Have you called to make sure they have your mailing address correct? You will need NOA2 for AOS later on, so yes it is very important you get a copy of that. My NOA2 was July 21 and the hard copy came on the 25th (Cali to TN). I would guess the address is incorrect.

Just to motivate you guys a little bit more, 20 people ahead of me have been approved within the past few days. As of today, at least 15 people got approved. Here is a screenshot of the chart from the mobile Case Tracker app.

My NOA1 Notification Date was May 24, 2016.
