I am wondering if I should at the end of next month stop payment on my check and send a letter to withdraw my petition and just get married when I go in June. To me there is something not right. I emailed the lockbox center yesterday and nothing. I didn't say anything like please hurry up and process my application. I simply asked if they can tell me if my application is there because at this point I am worried it is at some random PO Box in Dallas. They didn't even answer.

Well it says that they got it.. I really doubt that they lost your application. Keep trying to call them! I`ve read on their webpage that sometimes it takes up to 30days to receive your NOA1. I don`t think i can lose 30days in waiting though. Next week I would just call them and figure it out.

That is what I am going to do. By next Friday if I don't hear anything at all I am going to call them. If for some strange reason they have no idea where my application is or says they have not recieved it I am just going to write a letter canceling my K1 and get married in Morocco. I will have this summer with my fiance and then I will have 2 or 3 weeks in December....After that I start an internship and will not be able to take off during school and the internship for a year. I will only have 10 days between each semester all of which is to continue working at the internship so....this pretty much will be the last few times I get to go visit him and focus on paperwork. =) Good luck to everyone on their journey =)

It is quicker....not by much though from what I understand it is a few months quicker. My problem comes in when school and everything with my internship starts. Plus I kind of want him here for my graduation lol I know I want I want I want....We all want our loved ones here but it would just be great to have him here when I walk for graduation. I will have to figure it out. I did email them last week....but nothing. So I will see. fingers crossed maybe my G-1145 just fell through the cracks and no one put it in the computer. Maybe it will be coming in the mail soon =)

Thank you for the info. I will check it out when I get home and can think. I want more than anything to have my fiancé here as soon as possible but I also want to make sure everything I choose is practical. Rushing never solves anything so I will compare them all and see which works best for both of us.

I am going to call USCIS if I hear nothing by Tuesday morning. By then the paper notice would have already been here most likely and if not something is not right for sure. I read an old post from VJ that someone stopped payment on their check for a K1 because they did not get an NOA1 for 6 months and then they started a new application in the process of the second application they found their first application and charged them for both!!! I have to make sure I take all the right actions and calling USCIS is going to be my first step. I will read about the I-R1 thank you for taking the time to give me some guidence! ??
