A work permit is called an EAD. You can apply for an EAD as soon as you enter BUT it will only be good until the 90 days from your arrival and since it takes 60-90 days to get the card it is pointless

That dose not apply to k1 visas but to spousal visas your interview will be booked via your embassy not NVC.

I would like to invite you to add the sub-forum for the Philippines to your list of places to visit (great people over there that can help with questions concerning the processing through USEM) as well as I offer a step by step guide for processing through the Philippines which includes those items that may not be listed but are necessary to process your journey smoothly and are not necessarily published.

Also, get a copy of the Embassy letter and start collecting the necessary documents for USEM interview.

Hello everyone!

I downloaded an app to follow USCIS case updates, and I've seen cases sent as far as may 8 being approved, so heads up! It might be coming anytime! If anyone wants to download the app, is the first option when you type USCIS on Google Play.

It's interesting to notice on this app also that altough most cases are adjudicated in California, there are still a few in Texas and I even saw one I129-F in Chicago.
