A work permit is called an EAD. You can apply for an EAD as soon as you enter BUT it will only be good until the 90 days from your arrival and since it takes 60-90 days to get the card it is pointless

That dose not apply to k1 visas but to spousal visas your interview will be booked via your embassy not NVC.

My fiance is on the edge of her seat waiting for this and im trying not to even think about it for another month. Im tracking about a dozen cases on the app that were filed at the beginning of April and they still arent approved. Yet some from the very end of April have been. Seems to be totally random in processing the petitions. Still holding out for some luck like all of us are but im being patient for now. Good luck to all.

Yes probably so but im being optomistic and going off of the received date of May 29. Its my way of staying positive. But yes you are probably right.

I know how you feel! I have a notice date of 12th may but have always been active in the March and April filers thread because it helps me stay positive and keeps me updated as to whats going on. I know someone with a noa1 2/5/2016 has been approved so going on this.. I am hoping to hear something in the next few weeks. I really feel for the march/ early april filers that have not heard anything yet because I can only imagine how it must feel knowing filers that have a notice date of 2 to 4 weeks behind you are approved. I think it would make me go crazy!. just wish everyone a smooth journey! (L)
