A work permit is called an EAD. You can apply for an EAD as soon as you enter BUT it will only be good until the 90 days from your arrival and since it takes 60-90 days to get the card it is pointless

That dose not apply to k1 visas but to spousal visas your interview will be booked via your embassy not NVC.

On myUSCIS page, it says our case was last updated on 5/23 (we got our NOA1 on 5/16). Does this "update" mean anything? Just curious. Thanks everyone.

My case says the same thing. From other things I've read I think it just means they did something with your file. I'm not sure what, but at least they touched the file :D

My case says the same thing. From other things I've read I think it just means they did something with your file. I'm not sure what, but at least they touched the file :D

My guess would be cashing that sweet sweet visa money check!

Called the USCIS about our returned document. Aparently they don't mail to outside the US. We changed the adress but can only request an online resend of the document on 7 July. I hope this doesn't slow down the process? we really want to leave so desperately

They tried to transfer my call to an immigration officer but I was put on call back and since we aren't in USA we never received a call. Does anyone know the number to call an immigration officer? Thank you☺

We received our NOA 1 on May 16th. The more days I wait for the NOA 2, the more antsy I get about it! I'm happy to see I'm not the only one checking the website and VJ timelines a hundred times a day! LOL! Good luck to everyone! Hopefully, we are in the home stretch now!

05.16.16 - NOA 1

05.21.16 - Hard copy NOA 1

07.21.16 - NOA 2

08.05.16 - NVC case number assigned

08.10.16 - Case received at consulate, packet 3 received, DS-160 submitted

08.11.16 - Packet 3 mailed to embassy

08.18.16 - Packet 4 received, visa fee paid, letter from NVC arrived

09.22.16 - Interview, received 221(g) :crying:, Case changed to administrative processing for missing documents :protest:

10.03.16 - Mailed off response to 221(g), bye bye passport

10.04.16 - Package containing documents + passport arrived at the Amsterdam consulate

Oh hopefully, very soon! I've seen some with NOA 1 dates as late as April 21st!

We got our NOA1 on the same day! Let's hope the waiting ends soon.

Happy to see some more with the exact same date! It CANNOT come soon enough!!

The visa journey members are really helpful here. Because of them we all been able to know what can we hope for. I am so anxious for NOA2. Good luck for all of us. I am hoping for NOA2 at least 2nd week of July. Good luck to us all May filers...

Lol there are too many people to quote. As someone said we are all coming into our home stretch. Good luck to everyone. This is the worst part of this. The waiting stinks but it's almost over. After our NOA2 it goes much faster. Sending everyone the positive vibes and prayers!!
