Hello and good luck to everyone!

I sent our I-129F petition on 05/24/2016.

It was only two days after I arrived back from the Philippines and visiting my now Fiance.

After everything was sent I was reading to her a copy of the letter I had written explaining how we met.

Well I made a mistake on the letter and got the year wrong.

Instead of 06/11/2015 I wrote 06/11/2016 for when we first met online. That date has not even occurred yet.

Dumb mistake I think because I was still jet lagged and so tired but excited to get the package sent as soon as possible and while I still had time.

Well I sent a letter explaining the mistake along with a corrected and signed letter with the correct year to the same address that I submitted the I-129F.

I am not sure if that will make a difference or if I will still get a RFE for that mistake but I am hoping for the best.

Hoping for the best and expecting the worst that way there are no let downs.

I will update here when/if we get our NOA1.

Received NOA1 today on 6/4/2016

Notice date on form is 5/31/2016

Is anyone still waiting on their NOA1 that sent their packet around the 10th or before?

Hey there are a few people between here on VJ and the VJ facebook group that have sent their packets in early May that have had a long wait. I was one. Sent it in on May 6th didn't get an email until the 26. It seems the some early and mid May filers hit a snag. it is coming!! Don't forget Monday was a holiday and they didn't work. when did you send yours in?

Hi,

Just wanted to jump on the band wagon for May 2016 filers. This is my current position in the process the K-1 Visa.

I spoke to several representatives on the USCIS customer support line and they said to just follow the checklist. If anything goes wrong they will send a RFE. I will keep everyone updated and nice meeting you all. Hopefully we all get a speedy process through this journey.

I sent mine on the 10th and got an email on the 13th saying they received on May 11th. I'm happy to know at least that they have it, I'm just anxious to have that letter in my hands.

You didn't get the hard copy yet? I got it like 4 days later.

Quick question ya'll,

I'm a may filer NOA1 date of 5/12/16. I checked my case status including 50 before and after mine on the USCIS app. I noticed that #16th after mine was mailed on RFE on june 3rd, but no activity documented on my case.So my question is, aren't they supposed to be processing in order of receipt?

I think some countries offer an expedite service, so some get processed quicker and before others... Not completely sure though!

No they don't process them in the order of receipt. I don't think they have a specific order...But they don't work on just one case a day either. I am sure people are just assigned random cases and that is how they process them. People from January and Feb are still waiting and never got a NOA2 or RFE. I honestly don't think they have a system set on how they pick the files. If they did I think it would be more uniformed with the approvals.
