A work permit is called an EAD. You can apply for an EAD as soon as you enter BUT it will only be good until the 90 days from your arrival and since it takes 60-90 days to get the card it is pointless

That dose not apply to k1 visas but to spousal visas your interview will be booked via your embassy not NVC.

Hey Guys,

I am wondering if you guys know how to check the case status. I keep hearing people using the app and checking other cases before them. However, when I check I usually various types of receipts (such as I-130 or other applications) not necessarily I-129F. Am I checking wrong? How do you guys check? I feel so stressed out thinking that there is now a huge backlog in the CSC office. I am seen people in other forums with 95+ days. I feel my initial estimation is totally off looking at this numbers... What you guys think?

i don't know how they do that .. but i guess just try random receipt numbers .. i don't do that it is more stressing to keep checking everybody else how their files are moving !!

it does seem that the CSC is backlogging compared to the last year .. but i still think they are doing pretty good they are still within the 5 month range ... and i see that they are approving and sending NOA2 for early march fillers... we have to keep in mind that each case is different from the other and some get approved fast some need more time depending on the complexity ... not to mention that not every petition sent to CSC has an account here and updating his timeline ... if i got my approval within 3 to 4 month (90 to 120 day) i would be more than happy !!

let us be patient and hope for the best !!

Yea, it should, since your delivery date was a day after mine!!! I let myself forget about it and even thought it would come tomorrow, but then around 5:30p I got the message and rang my fiancé like crazy to tell him. haha

Not sure what thread I belong in tbh.

Sent in the K1 early-mid march, it was received on March 24, and then we finally got our NOA1 a month and a half later on May 9th after calling them 3 or 4 times to follow up. I know we're not April filers, but I have no idea whether we're march or may.

Hello everyone! I need your advice. Our petition got delivered May 16th and since then we haven`t heard anything from them, no emails or cashed check.
We called them yesterday and since all the agents were busy, they told us they will call us in 50min. Guess what.. nobody ever called. So I am wondering if i should keep calling and calling til I talk to someone! I don`t want to be annoying, i just want to make sure they have our petition. We also sent an email to the lockbox but nobody answered...

Oh gosh, that must have been awful. I'm glad you finally got your NOA1, but I can imagine how frustrating that wait was. I'm not sure which group you'd be in either, but here's hoping your NOA2 comes soon!

I've gotten the email but no letter and mine was received on the 11th. The best thing I could say is keep calling. Things seem to be pretty inconsistent right now, some people who sent their packet after me have already received letters and some people who sent before me haven't even gotten emails. It's a frustrating waiting game.

it is sooo annoying when you dont hear anything from them ... if you go to the previous posts one of our friends here ( N&J ) had the same issue, when called USCIS they told her " wait untill 30 day then call , before that there is nothing we can do for you " ... and she got her NOA1 on the day 20 ... so i suppose if you keep calling you will hear the same song !!

just be patient it is coming ... we see some filers have the same issue but they got emails and papers before their 30 days !!

Yes i see that too ... early march are getting approved !!

I see about 14 approvals from Igor's list... and my case tracker notifications was off the hook this morning!!!!!!!!! I am thinking that processing is going to pick up after this break. I see 2 maybe 3 good weeks of progress. That July 4th week will bring a slow down again :sleepy: . I am riding the wave for sure. Highs and lows. I want my babe here :crying::crying::cry:(L)
