Question, my 19 year old step son addmitted smoking mariguana a bout a year ago.He told the phycologist that he had done it once and Explain that he did it becuase social presure. Would he have to do a one year ban procedures?

Up date: He received a black plastick package for his interview that is schedule this coming Friday. Is that any of a positive sign?

From the medical center. Do you know if CO opens the packet once interview is in progress?

Yes, while he is waiting for the interview; basically, when he enters the embassy there will be an intake window where he hands in documents, pays if he hasn't yet etc, and then he sits and waits while they look at his paperwork and perhaps deal with applicants before him.

My step son has completed his interview and everything went well. I really dont understand how CO qualifies or disqualifies some one from getting thier visa once admitting smoking marijuana. Hope this information can be helpful, and thanks too all the privoius posts. Very relief we have completed this process.
