EAD status changed to this?

Called on Friday because the 30 days is up on Tuesday and was told that the 30 day mark is just for card production, and then after that it could take up to another 30 days for delivery.

They did say that once the card has been produced the status will change to ready for deliver or something like that.... And they will also be one that shows its out for delivery with tracking info.

So disappointed that it takes this long from approval to get it in hand. It's causing me a lot of stress regarding this company and I don't want them to have doubts and others wondering that will work for me on me taking longer to start work.

For those out there that have their EAD, is it an actually card? Plastic? Or is it just a piece of paper like the SSN? I find it hard to believe I got my SSN in 7 days after filling out all the paper work, and it takes 60 days to get an EAD out to someone.

This thing better be gold plated and have diamond in it....

I think USCIS is currently facing some delay in issuing cards. The same delay is also been witnessed by even the Green card approval. Usually, EAD is delivered about 10 working days from approval date. But the current scenario is not understood by anyone. I called too on Thursday, and was told same thing as you stated that waiting period is 60 days to receive the card in mail and not 3o0 days as was indicated in the approval letter.

There's nothing we can do other than to wait, safe for the fact that one might lose already secure employment if one fails to provide the employer with the work authorisation document on time.

What I find odd that there isn't any posts from people that have gotten EAD's recently and zero posts about what the status changes to after card being produced.

It's frustrating! No update yet. I called again this morning, being over 30 days. The Customers agent said that USCIS is currently facing some delay in issuing cards.and that waiting period is 60 days to receive the card in mail and not 30 days as indicated in the approval letter. There's nothing we can do other than to wait.

Did you get an approval letter? Or just the status update online?

I never got anything in the mail, all I got was the update online.

Ok same here, I got a letter in the mail saying my AP was approved but only the update on the web about my EAD.
