Hi, very new to this forum... I am hoping to receive some advice from people who went through with this... Thanks in advance.

I am preparing for the I-751 package and wondering if I can punch 2 holes on the top of the original affidavits from friends w/ ACCO fastener. I understand that the original affidavits cannot be altered like writing my own A# on top, so punching the holes would be altering the original? Did you attach the original affidavits in a separate holder in the set of documents without making holes on the top of the original affidavits or simply included the affidavits with holes on the top?

Thank you!

My understanding is that hole punching and stapling are no-nos and that USCIS removes them (paperclips/binderclips are preferred). Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

I-751 documentation is SUPPOSED to be fastened with ACCO fasteners at the top!

That's what they suggest!

Thank you for your replies! I considered the option of the clear plastic sheet but I am sticking to just punching the holes on top of all documents including affidavits with an ACCO fastener. I guess there would not be a problem with punching the holes on top of the affidavits as I could not find anyone else saying not to punch holes on it. I would appreciate more personal experiences re: punching holes on affidavits or not from you if you don't mind. Thanks!
