Hey guys!

It's been a while since I've been on here. My husband and I just had our three year wedding anniversary. I can't believe we're still not done with this immigration stuff. D:

Anyway, my husband's green card is due to expire the end of June, so I will be sending off his I-751 packet hopefully on Friday. So far I have included the following as evidence. Do you guys think this will be enough?

  • A copy of our joint 2013, 2014 and 2015 tax returns
  • Three years lease agreements from our past apartment
  • Our current lease agreement
  • Renters insurance policy in both our names
  • Copies of health insurance, dental and vision card
  • Copies of joint checking account statements from June 2013 to current
  • Copies of joint money market account statements from June 2013 to current
  • Copies of joint credit card bills from April 2013 to current (Neither one of us had a credit card prior to that.)
  • A signed affidavit from my aunt
  • A signed affidavit from my husband's brother
  • Photos

Thanks :)

2. Copies of DL showing same address.

3. Copies of the actual credit cards showing the same number.

4. Any utility bills in joint name

6. Car loan in both names?

Thanks for the response!

- We live in Chicago and don't own a car, although will be buying one soon as we have plans to move out to the suburbs soon. I was planning on just buying a car outright, would it be better to take out a partial loan in both our names?

- I have just ordered tax transcripts for the years in question. I will see how long they take to get here. I may just send the returns and have the transcripts on file if they ask for them.

- Unfortunately our utility bills are either in my name of his, but they all have the same address. Would it still help to send them in?

It looks as if you do need an appointment in Chicago. I will call tomorrow to confirm.

Does anybody know how late I can safely send in my packet? Right now there are about 50 days left until my husband's green card expires. Will waiting a week or two while I get this extra evidence hurt at all?

I ordered my tax transcripts in April and they came in a week. We had to wait for our 2015 tax transcripts to send in our packet. I'm glad we waited.

Hey guys!!

So my tax transcripts STILL have not arrived yet and my husband's green card is due to expire on the 31st of this month. I have re-ordered them ... but feel like I am running out of time to send my packet in. Should I send it now, or continue to wait on the transcripts?

Thanks!

The tax transcripts should arrive any day. I would give it some time. No need to panic, You have more than two weeks left to send in the I-751 package. In the mean time, you should make sure to get your package ready, make sure you got all the forms filled out correctly, fees in correct amount. A lot of people get their packages returned as they forget to sign their forms or not include correct payment amount.

Good luck!

Put W forms, they asked me in RFE, indeed even when I was not working that year! That was the main reason stated on the explanation.

And...all depends on how well quick you will pass security checks. There is nothing about believing or not believing you, there is nothing about the country you are from. They just take time when they see supposed longer security checks when asking extra. You really believe they don't know all about you in this cyber world? And only after this if delay extended they clearly state that "waiting for security checks".

my local irs office doesn't print transcripts apparently. i will wait until the end of the day and if i don't get anything then i will send the packet off tomorrow. they can't very well be mad at me for not including a transcript anyway, since they specifically ask for a TAX RETURN on the instructions. If that's not what they want then they should't be asking for it.
