Hey guys,

I had my medical exam last year in December 2nd. I've only just last week used the k-1 to get into the US. My Fiancee and I are wondering if my medical is still valid.

I had it performed in the UK at the London Knightsbridge clinic.

We weren't given any definitive dates so we're not sure how to track the length of time it has before it expires, or even if it already has.

Trying to avoid any nasty surprises etc.

I've already contacted Knightsbridge and asked them but no reply yet.

So in total I was wondering if anyone knows the general time frame a medical exam is valid for.

Thank you guys.

You do not need a new medical if you file for AOS within a year of your K-1 exam. See the sticky post in the AOS forum > http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/551080-immunizations-ds-3025-or-i-693/

~ Moved from K-1 Process to AOS from Family Based Visas - topic is AOS, not K-1 ~

Is it 1 year or 6 months pls?

If I ask it in this way... what is the maximum period I will have to enter the US

(some one told me it is within 6 months after the medical exam)

Mine is a CR-1

Pls advise.

This is not the CR-1 forum. This thread was discussing the validity of the medical for a K-1 entrant applying for AOS from within the US. Your situation is not the same.

Exam for immigrant visa is 6 months without medical conditions, and 3 months with conditions present. The visa should be issued based on the medical validity, and you would need to enter the US before the expiration on your visa.
