Do married people who live together and have a child, need relationship proof?

We have none of that as Greece is under "capital controls" and we were not allowed to add his name to any bank accounts or open a new shared bank account. We have no insurance at all, either private or public, no money for that as only I work. However this too is pretty common in Greece right now as 60% of the people are without insurance due to the economic crisis.

Utility bills in Greece are under the name of the owner of the house (We rent). We do have the lease saying he lives here. We do have joint taxes filed.

Not many photos because we don't really know anybody here, he doesn't speak the language and we have no friends, I don't know anyone in the area and I am kept pretty busy with 3 kids and work. I have pics with family though. My brother married us and christened our daughter.

However, the Consulate *should* know all this about Greece (bank accounts, bills ets) as it is common here. Should I be worried?

I'd take a copy of his passport if it has stamps of when he entered the country, visa, whatever establishes he got there. I'd prepare a letter with a relationship timeline.

I hope someone else chimes in because these are just suggestions, seeing I've not dealt with the same process as you are going through.

They have our daughter's original CRBA (they asked for it, told us they would return all our originals after the interview). I will take lease and taxes of course and the paper where I list him as the husband to the IRS and they confirmed.

He was a LPR of Germany so there is no stamp as Greece is in the EU, but he does have a residence permit from Greece. He also rented an apartment in the very beginning when he got here, we have that lease too.

Yes I know I've asked before, I am just SO worried as the Embassy has been extremely strict and has been asking for more and more and more paperwork from us. I thought I would sail through the interview like I thought I had every piece of paper they wanted (I had done my homework) yet here we are, they are asking for even more stuff outside their own regulations so... just super worried!!!
They can ask me anything they want about him, his family, what he likes and dislikes.. I mean, I have been living with him 24/7 for 3 years lol but since we never thought we would immigrate, I don't really have "proof" in terms of hard copy stuff.

It seems like they're picking on you, right? It's ok to worry, but try and breathe, or immigration can drive you crazy.

You have a real relationship and it will show through in person, I hope once they talk to you on the interview, things will go smooth.

It DOES. I just found out a couple days ago they are ESPECIALLY strict with Greece because our government has failed to conform to a directive about replacing our governmental IDs, so we are not in their good graces right now.

I spoke to other Greek people asking for Visas (not IVs) and they were ALL denied.

Today they mailed me AGAIN to ask for the SAME paperwork I just delivered to them yesterday!! Told them to look again through our files because the papers they are asking for, are there since yesterday. No reply (yet).

I am hoping they just hadn't looked yet hence the email.

*sigh* I am kind of losing hope here they just don't WANT to issue the visas... period

**Update**

We had our interview. Hubby joined us for it.
I was asked:

Have you ever been to the US before?
Have you ever applied for a visa before?
Do you have any relatives in the US?
When and how did you meet?
When did you meet for the first time face to face?
How long has he been living here?
Is your child a boy or a girl (I had our two boys with me)? She giggled when I said "a girl"
What do you plan on doing when you get to the US (job wise). She asked the same of him.
Where will you live?

She asked the boys if they were excited. That was that. I had a lot of evidence with me photos, wedding invite etc but they didn't want to see it. We HAVE been living together already for 3 years so I guess maybe they thought it was ok?

PS. Although we didn't get approved on the spot, they kept the passports and told us it looked good but couldn't guarantee approval. Our joint sponsor filled out the I-864a wrong and two more were needed one for each boy. We should get these to them soon and I hope we are issued the visas!!

Oh!! They also asked when our divorces from our previous wives became final... He got HIS dates wrong (oO) but I corrected him and he laughed and said "I am terrible with dates" and I said "That is why you have me honey" and the consul smiled at us.

*spouses not wives!! Lol!!! HE had a wife, *I* had a husband hahahahaha
