I can't tell if you guys are trolling or if you are all genuinely this deluded. Do you not realize that people all over the world travel to South America? Throw the summer Olympics (which is in August by the way) into the mix and you have a global health disaster. We're talking hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world, including American citizens, going to Brazil and potentially coming back infected with a disease that can spread sexually. There is no cure, treatment or vaccination. Adults may experience a flu like illness but can fight it off. Unless of course you have a compromised immune system. Unborn babies are the ones at risk for microcephaly. In politics, no one cares about anything until it affects them personally.

You control movement of people entering this country until they are tested.. If you strongly believe that this is a serious threat then cancel the games .. Test every person entering this country.. Put troops on the border until the wall can be built to contain the flow of the human vector

The mosquito in question transmitting the Zika virus is already here in America (and around the world other mosquito genus show similar potential risk signs). And Americans who already have been exposed to the virus are here now. They don't travel on the bodies of an infected person like head lice. How do you think this disease has spread so rapidly? Mosquitos aren't some creature that stays within the confines of a country. This mosquito used to be found only in subtropical zones, and now can be found everywhere except for Antarctica. They don't move with people. They move as they see fit.

They honestly should cancel or postpone it...or at least move it to another country.

There have already been cases in the US. No need for us to make it worse globally by having the Olympics in Rio.

Putting troops on the border won't help. Guns don't stop mosquitoes apparently.

Hmm. Apparently no one here has ever been bitten by a mosquito or even know how one works. Unless of course they intend to put the border guards and anyone living in radius of the borders in mosquito-proof biohazard suits. I could see a Trumper totally going for that logic.
