Husband's greencard expired Feb. 28 and the VSC received it our I-751 application on Feb. 27. (I know, we were terribly late submitting this, but what's done is done). Will it matter that the date on the NOA is March 7?

Seems like it's okay as we also received the appointment for biometrics today.

HI,

IF You got the biometrics, you will get soon the Extension letter for one year...

have you got this letter already?

Yes, we got them both on the same day.

THAT IS CUTTING IT CLOSE. HIS EMPLOYMENT STATUS WAS PROBABLY IN LIMBO DUE TO THE SHORT PERIOD BETWEEN THE NOA AND EXPIRATION OF THE CONDITIONAL GREEEN CARD. GOOD LUCK

I know, we effed up by sending it so late.

On the cancelled checks, handwritten under an EAC number is the date 2/28/07, so I've printed it out as proof that that's when they accepted it.

I guess we'll see where it goes from here.

This is incorrect. As long as they are filed on time (which they were) the only thing that would have been in "Limbo" while they were waiting for the NOA is PROOF that they were eligible to work and travel. They were actually eligible, but with an expired greencard, it would have been hard to prove.

You have filed on time (we too got ours in the day before), now you basically have to sit back and wait.

Timeline I-751 (Removal of conditions):

They have the discretion to accept late filings. It sounds like you filed on time, but there's also a possibility that they used their discretion to accept it slightly late. It doesn't matter. You got a NOA saying that they accepted it. So you can stop worrying about this point; you're fine.
