Just read the instructions from the embassy. Last thing on the page . https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/applying-for-the-visa/

I submitted my form of readiness and have all my documents ready.

I then went on to https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv and scheduled my own interview for June 21st.

But apparently you can't do that? I have already paid the visa fee, but I spoke to someone on the phone and they said that I cannot schedule my own interview, and that as soon as the embassy received my medical results, they will send me a letter with my interview date.

Is this correct?

Kelly....when you say you submitted your form of readiness....kindly explain please. I'm waiting for our status to clear so I can book my interview. Apart from the medical questionnaire is there anything else that needs doing prior to attending the medical? Thank you

The post is two years old. Procedures, timing, and even embassy location have changed. The readiness form was dropped.
