Think about all the people coming to Hawaii, Vegas, Miami and so on to get married from other countries. They wouldn't have time to wait for everything to get done so I think it's a good thing.

Each country if different on all of those thing just because it's fast doesn't mean it's more easy then other places, maybe other places just have more paper to get done and so on...

Two different countries. Many things are different.

My favorite thing I hear about the difference between US and other countries... "Why do Americans drive on the wrong side of the road?"

Doesn't most people drive in that side of the road? All EU does at least ..

Why the marriage in the US is so easy? Because marriage is considered a fundamental right under the US Constitution.

I mean, you just need a passport, right?? No. Even people here illegally without passports can get marry.

In Italy if someone from another country wants to get married there is so much paperwork to do and it takes at least 10 days.

Why all this difference??? Every country is sovereign and can make up their own rules.

No they don't. Only the UK, Ireland, Malta, and Cyprus do. The majority of the world is right hand traffic.

?? Yes they do drive in the same site as america. I have driven both places so know LOL ;)

Can add MOST EU in stead of all then :)

I think most countries do drive on the right side. I just find it humorous that when referring to another country that drives on the opposite side it is always referred to as the "wrong side".

Haha YES!! ... It's kind of weird it's not just the same everywhere. We were in Scotland in October and I did NOT like driving there (we only took caps, and drove with a tour guide in an station car) But daaaamn I did not like that, SO wrong! :D

I phrased that wrong. I meant no not all but these countries do drive on left.

Then we agree :D

It does feel weird. It's like at any moment you are waiting for an oncoming car to be in your lane.

The round about of what is call was the worst!...

Unfortunately we had a very bad accident last year where a danish lady living many many years were home on a visit and driving so yes just turned across the road not thinking of the traffic from the other side and at the same time a mother car was speeding 3 of her 4 kids past away 12 years old and younger. So people really have to be sure when they go drive in a country there have different directions then others. (Of course it's not her fault the other car was speeding either but still)

Even walking where the drive on the left seems wrong to me. All my instincts say to watch cars coming in the wrong lane.
