How exciting! Congrats!!

Did you both wait for your embassy letter to arrive with the beneficiary before proceeding, or did you move forward with just the NVC number?

I'm not sure how it goes now, my case has been split between the old system and new... After NVC I was assigned a date I couldn't attend, so I requested a change, and they told me it couldn't be arranged until after my medical (last week).

The day after the medical I got an email from the embassy saying they've completed my case (ie have my medical packet) and I can now schedule an appointment via the new website (I was under the impression that the date I requested the first time I asked to reschedule would still stand).

To my surprise when i logged on to the website, it still said April 5th (Original date assigned after NVC), and it was locked - I couldn't even change. So I emailed the embassy, and they told me to go through the 'missed my appointment' link, so I did that and it was instantly approved to select a new date. The rest is history ;)
