Time for documents

My wife filled for advanced parole and work authorization at the end of January. We got the NOA and the date on it was February 8th.

She had to go for a finger print in March. They took one finger print because she had a full set in Bogota when we were doing the interview.

It's now May 9th and we've been contacted about another fingerprint appointment this Thursday the 12th.

If you count the days between when she filed and now you get about 90 days. The estimates here are for about 70 days. If you don't count weekends it's been about 60 days. Does that estimate of time for AP include weekends?

Should we have heard something by now?

How do we enquire to find out what the status of her application is? Can we?

She's stressing out about going home to visit her mother and I'd really like to be able to get some information for her.

So I looked at the documents they gave us, and they listed and 800 number and gave us new case numberas associated with the ADjustment of Status, the employment authorization and the advanced parool. I call and the information is basically, your document lists the steps, but there's nothing on the documents.

It's exceptionally frustrating.

I called the number on the 797's again this time with my wife on the phone and that gave them permission to talk to me.

Her Adjustment of status application was submitted on Feb 16th 2016. They are currently working on applications filed in April of 2015.

Her Employment authorization should have been completed in 90 days, it's been 98 days we filed an inquiry and they said we might here something in 5 to 10 days but they have 30 days to respond.

Her travel authorization was also filed Feb 16th, 2016. They are currently working on documents filed on Jan 3d 2016. The date, January 3d is accurate as of the 15th of May. They only update that information once a month on the 15th of the month. Given that we only have one data point, I'm hoping that we should get notified about her travel approval at the end of June.

Time will tell.

Tony
