Dv-260 Mistake

hey guys

I made some mistakes on my dv-260 , Native Name , Addressee of the person who's going to receive me in the us and the last one is the Number of Educational Institutions Attended , should i ask my consular center to delock my apply or should i wait until the interview to correct them ? and how much time they take to give me the date of the interview ?

Email the KCC with your case number, full name and date of birth and ask them to unlock the DS260. It will take them a couple of days to do so. Make the adjustments and then resubmit.

When you get interviewed is dependent on your case number.

Thank you for replying , can you help me with a specific message ( demand to unlock my ds-260 ) i don't know exacytly what to say and i'm afraid to say something weird or inappropriate way ;

You should blank out the last two or three numbers on your case number when putting it on the Internet.

No, you won't get the date of the interview next month. You'll only get it about 6 weeks before your interview, and that case number probably won't come up for the first few months of the fiscal year. It's not predetermined, it depends on how many people respond to being selected and how interviews go. You can look at the britsimonsays website for some information about DV interview dates and how to read the visa bulletin.

Just email KCC at the email address on your selection letter - remember to include your full name, case number and date of birth US style (mm-dd-yyyy) and say something like "I request that you unlock my DS260 as I have a correction". Don't "demand" anything and don't bother giving reasons, it doesn't make a difference to them. And don't be surprised if they take a few days to respond...they typically get inundated with queries at this time of year.

No one can tell now when your interview will be. Based on last year, maybe February. May be a bit sooner or a bit later. You'll probably be fine waiting a month or two to resubmit your DS260 with probably no risk of delay. Your 2NL will only arrive after the visa bulletin listing your number as current is published, somewhere around 6-8 weeks ahead of your interview.
