preparing AOS documents ahead of time

When you send in the documents for the AOS, do you need a certified copy of non-USC's birth certificate and a certified copy of the translation? Or are regular copies okay?

Also, does the doctor at the medical exam give a copy of the vaccination supplement that will be needed for AOS?

Anything else we need to get while my fiance is still in his country?

A regular copy is fine.

Thanks! I'm familiar with the list on the guide but wasn't sure if the copy needed to be certified. My fiance was born in a different country than where he is a citizen and so if we need a certified copy of his birth certificate we wanted to get on that right away as we don't know how complicated it will be. (He was born in the Czech Republic).

But if regular copies are okay, then that will be infinitely easier. He of course has his original.

Does he have a birth certificate? If so, you just need to send a photocopy of that. No need for a certified copy unless he currently doesn't have his birthcertificate.
