hi we have our interview in indiapolis this friday i was reading peoples experiences, I see they ask alot of questions about the wedding, me and my wife did not have a wedding but were just ordained,, should this be a issue I see no reason why we would have to have a traditional wedding and we really just wanted to save money and have another wedding once my spouses family could afford to come here to witness it

You had a wedding. It was a non-traditional one but a wedding all the same. They may ask about it. :)

we just got back from our interview,, she gave us a recomendation for approval paper and said we should get our card in 1-2 weeks,,,

really nice lady,, she just asked basic questions off the initial application such as names, etc,, she asked about our marriage, we said we just decided to do a civil wedding, not really any hard or different questions,

we were worried because we initially filed for a k1 visa and decided to cancel and just get married here before the embassy interview in my spouses country she was here on a b1 tourist visa.. and many people told us that was fraud,,, the interview officer told us there was nothing wrong with that and that she didnt blame us for just getting married here do to expenses..

didnt need affidavit of support since we already submitted it she said she looked at it and it was above the guidelines,,

all we had for proof of bonifide marriage was 2 water bills and 3 months of bank statements, marriage license,.... we were just honest and told her we had a heck of a time getting joint account on things since social securty card just showed up last week....

soo all she took from us was 1 pay stub, marriage license, statements, water bills and pictures,, just basic pictures of us together and one with my parents and dog

we were done at the same time, she said our application looked complete and it should not take long when we first walked in,, the interview was nothing like what we read online, we were so nervous, but we were so suprised how basic she just asked my wife (beneficiary) about stuff she put on application dob, ,where she was born,, date of entry etc
