Hi everyone.. Thanks for this forum.

My husband submitted I-130 in Phoenix 6th of May.

We got our USCIS Acceptance Confirmation via email by May 12,2016.

Today June 1st, he receive in his mail this Form I-797C Notice of Action from the Dept of Homeland Security(is this the NOA1)?

It says "The I-130, petition for alien relative has been received... and is in process"

We got so excited and I want to know what to do next. :goofy:

Hi everyone!

I'm new to the page, my petition packet just arrived at the lockbox this morning! So I'll sort of be a May/June filer :)

Hi Mrs Wild! Welcome to May filers! You're with us now ;) Let us know which service center you get sent to! Nebraska here! Xxx

Our revised packet was signed for at the Chicago Lockbox this morning so am hoping for a May priority date.

Hopefully its a case of 2nd time lucky for us!

Zach! Great to hear your case was received! And you're still a May filer - awesome! Now to wait! Hopefully the rest of your journey is smooth sailing x

Welcome zach21uk

What do you mean about ( its a case of 2nd time lucky for us!)?

Tell us your experience please

Welcome again

Hi Ahmed! If you scroll back in this thread, you'll find that Zaxh had messaged earlier about his concerns with his packet! There was complications with the money check they sent and so it was sent back. Luckily Zach could send the I130 to the states for relatives to send to USCIS! :) Hows everything going Ahmed? :)

Was your name spelled correctly on your petition forms? Could it have been a typo or mistake on the notice? Either way, I was looking at the USCIS processing times chart and noticed they have an e-request section where you can submit a request for typographic errors. This is what I'm talking about: https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayTypoForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=typoError

Hopefully someone else has experienced this before and can chime in!

Hi Mrs. Wilds thanks for the reply yes my name is spelt correctly on the petition as soon ma husband saw the error he called and they said they would correct it. However later we got a email saying only the officer reviewing your case can make the corrections that you have requested. We have forwarded your concerns to your file and they will be reviewed by the officer at the time of adjudication. No corrections have been made at this time. We regret the inconvenience.

Hopefully they're able to correct that soon! Or maybe it won't matter if everything is spelled properly on the petition itself. At the very least, now they've made a note of it :).

For those of you that filed earlier in May and have already received the hard copy of the NOA1... how long did it take for them to cash your check? I know this question gets asked constantly on these forums, but I'm wondering how things are going with how quickly the immigration processing times are right now.

I'm honestly not too sure what you need to do about this? Have you called them? I would probably call - hopefully it was their error and it could be easily fixed! Please let us know how it goes xx
